Bill Janness

Bill Janness is the Executive Producer and co-founder of Indigo Jazz — a boutique recording label dedicated to jazz, fusion, and blues, built under the Mad Monkey Creative LLC umbrella. Alongside guitarist and recording artist Rick Kelly, Bill helped bring the label from concept to reality: a home for original music released on its own terms, without formula, without compromise, without AI slop.

On the production side, Bill co-produced the label's debut release — Rick Kelly's Blue Mangata EP — overseeing the creative and logistical arc of the project from tracking to release. He handles the business infrastructure that keeps Indigo Jazz running: marketing strategy, press coordination, digital distribution, and the day-to-day work of getting the music heard.

Bill is also the driving force behind Mad Monkey Creative LLC, a Chicago-area creative company spanning multiple brands across apparel, music production, and digital content. His background in creative direction, technology, and brand development shapes how Indigo Jazz operates — lean, direct, and built to last.

He is based in the northern suburbs of Chicago, Illinois.
